Applications of tests for CAPD
1.      To identify if there is CAP
2.      To localize the site of lesion
3.      Helps in planning the rehabilitation stratergies
4.      Help in research e.g identify which area is responsible for which function in the brain.
5.      To predict benefit from amplification specially in elderly subjects
6.      Help to find out the age of neural maturation in normals as wll as deviant groups.
7.      It also help in monitoring the management program or to check the efficacy of rehabilitation program.
8.      Pre and post operating  tests can be done to see if there is effect on hearing of surgery
9.      Dichotic tests can also be used to find cerebral dominance.
